What’s the first thing you do after making $3bn? If you’re Andre Romelle Young, the 49-year-old hip-hop mogul better known as Dr Dre, who sold his headphone company, Beats Electronics, to Apple for that sum earlier this year, the answer is simple. You buy a gigantic fake chateau in LA with a moat, nine bathrooms, four acres of gardens, a sauna and an infinity pool. Then you go on YouTube to declare yourself “the first billionaire in hip-hop, right here from the [unprintable modifier] West Coast”.

If you’re Dre’s business partner, Jimmy Iovine, on the other hand… well, you go about things a bit differently.
